GitHub Mobile Enhances Copilot with Task Management Features

GitHub has rolled out significant updates to its Copilot coding agent within the GitHub Mobile app, introducing enhanced task management capabilities. Developers can now initiate and track coding tasks remotely, streamlining workflows for on-the-go productivity.

The new functionality allows users to delegate tasks directly from their mobile devices. By tapping the '+' button in either the Home or Repository view, developers can prompt Copilot to create draft pull requests and work on tasks in the background. Notifications alert users when work is ready for review.

A centralized tracking system provides real-time visibility into task progress. The Agents page, accessible under My Work, offers a comprehensive overview of ongoing activities. This update eliminates the need for desktop access, catering to developers who require flexibility without sacrificing efficiency.
